We asked our CEO & Content Producer Sean Holland; What makes you tick?

I worked in sales for many years before realising that it was making me unhappy. This honest realisation made me change course in life when others around me were settling down.

After leaving my umpteenth sales role, I realised that it was the interview process and the first three months that I enjoyed most. The thrill of the win and the creativity of developing new approaches in the field were my inspiration. I did not enjoy having a career job at all, and so I stopped working in the traditional sense…

Instead, I embarked on a twelve-year adventure as a DJ and Producer. Playing records and promoting events did not feel like work. In those years, I learned valuable lessons. I set up many successful branded nights, a record label, and three separate DJ personas; each for a different genre. When the UV lights started revealing copious grey hairs, I turned to poetry and performance.

In just a few years, I developed a successful branded poetry event, curated a festival stage and launched a performance persona. Under that nom de plume, I went on to win multiple slams. Toast of Plymouth gave me an award for a debut play which I wrote and directed. Performing at the Royal Albert Hall, Womad and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival are highlights for me. I produced my tour, which sold out 95% of its dates and I have trained in screenplay writing with Arvon.

Outside of conceptualising and ghostwriting for clients, you will find me writing fiction and blogs of my own. I love to write. It is my passion.

It is my love for words, and my natural affinity for new ideas, approaches and innovative solutions that I want to share with you.

I am your Harbour Master, making sure your vessel is fit for purpose, everything is in order with the crew, and that you are assured a successful voyage. Together we can launch your business idea, book, product or event. Once that is achieved, I will write engaging content so that you don’t have to.

Words of advice for the business world:

If you do one small thing every day to further your project, at the end of the year, you will have created 365 more opportunities to grow. Whether you blog, podcast, or publish is not the important thing. It is the quality and frequency of content that matter. Develop consistency in your communications.
